They say a great product speaks for itself. But in the digital world, if no one can see you, you're basically whispering in a thunderstorm.
That was the situation for our client, MyMatilda.
Before we dive into the marketing, let's understand the heart of this brand.
Matilda isn't just another piece of tech. It is an AI-powered companion designed to bring joy to the lives of older Australians and those living with dementia.
Across the country, families and carers are working themselves to the bone to help their loved ones. We know the toll of carer burnout is incredibly high, and the costs of full-time care are often astronomical. Matilda is an affordable, human-like companion that brings joy and comfort while keeping a silent, watchful eye on health status.
It's decades of research delivered with genuine care. It even got a mention in Senator Helen Polley's speech in Parliament on aged care and disability reform.
But until September 2025, MyMatilda had an outdated website and virtually no presence online.
For marketing campaigns, they did what many Aussie businesses in the healthcare space do: they relied on the expo grind by hitting 5–6 expos a year religiously.
Between the floor space, the booth setup, the travel, and all the miscellaneous expenses, they were spending $5,000–$6,000 per expo.
The kicker?
Even if they walked away with a couple of potential customers, the cost per acquisition of a new customer was nowhere justified.
In September 2025, their website was a generic, off-the-shelf WordPress template. It was pulling in a measly 200 visitors a month, resulting in maybe one decent lead if the stars aligned.
We realised that for MyMatilda, the best marketing strategy wasn't another expo—it was a digital foundation that actually worked while they slept.
We executed a three-pronged plan.
We ditched the clunky WordPress template for a custom Webflow build.
By creating dedicated landing pages for specific audiences, such as NDIS providers and aged care centres, we turned a static website into a high-conversion engine.
We organised a professional photoshoot to capture Matilda's human side, resulting in high-end visuals that instantly elevated the brand's credibility to match the quality of their service.
Soon after the new site went live, we spent the following four months implementing the best SEO and AI SEO practices.
We didn't just chase traffic. We targeted high-intent terms used specifically by healthcare providers and NDIS coordinators to ensure they were found by the right people.
…and the numbers speak for themselves.
August 2025
February 2026
That's a 2,000% increase in lead volume without the team having to set up a single physical booth or fly across the country.
MyMatilda always had an amazing product.
All they were missing was the "visibility layer" that connected that product to their ideal customers.
Working with this team reminded us why we do what we do at Axtid.
When you stop wasting money on traditional methods that barely break even and invest in a high-converting website and organic SEO, the ROI doesn't just improve - it explodes.
